Our History

A chance internship at a small Vermont bakery sparked a culinary journey that has ranged from New York to Paris and back again! Formally trained at The California Culinary Academy I went on to cook and bake in San Francisco and Boston. I was lucky to have a fabulous mentor at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco and I started specializing in wedding cakes about seven years ago. I moved to Vermont to take the Executive Pastry Chef position at The Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. We baked everything from breakfast pastries to plated desserts but I found myself enjoying making the wedding cakes most of all. I opened up Vermont Cake Studio in 2005 to provide local caterers and discerning individuals with custom designed wedding cakes. My goal is to create a delicious and unique work of art that will be the centerpiece of your celebration. I enjoy working with clients and becoming a part of their celebration whether it is a wedding, civil union, 50th birthday, or 60th anniversary.
